Is your website looking stuck in the 90's? There's a few things you can do to spruce up your website and make it look more modern. One of those ways is to add rounded corners to your page elements.
In what I like to call the "Internet Explorer" years browser weren't capable of displaying rounded corners through code. The only way you could add rounded corners to a site element was to round the corners of your images in an image editor like Photoshop and then upload those to your website. Because images are heavy and at the time bandwidth was limited many pages didn't bother putting images with rounded corners on their website. Thankfully browsers eventually evolved and began to render corners using CSS. That means browsers were able to display rounded edges on site elements using only code. Unfortunately many of us don't know how to code. That's why we implemented this feature into our WebStarts editor.
In WebStarts rounding corners is easy. While in the editor click to the select the page element you'd like to give rounded corners. With the object selected you'll notice a small cog icon attached to the element. Click on the cog and it opens the Advanced Toolbar. From the advanced toolbar choose the Rounded Corners tab. A slider will appear. Use the slider to increase or decrease the amount of roundness applied to the selected element.
You can choose to round all the corners of an element at the same time or you can round one corner at a time. To isolate specific corners click on the tab labeled "Individual". You'll then see a series of corresponding sliders for each corner. Those sliders will let you adjust the amount of roundness applied to each specific corner.
Rounded corners are just one of the many advanced design features made easy in WebStarts. Go ahead and visit WebStarts.com to create a free website and leverage our powerful website builder today.
