In this article I'm going to show you how to remove the background from an image using a tool called clippingmagic.com. Clippingmagic will let you upload an image and then remove the background image by cutting around the object in the photo you'd like to keep. It's great if for example you have a photo of a person and you'd like to use them on your website with a white background but you only have a photo of them in a natural setting as opposed to a green screen. To remove the background from an image follow these steps.
1. Go to ClippingMagic.com and upload your image.
The less busy the background in the photo the easier it will be to remove the background and the better your finished product will look. Clippingmagic works best in Chrome or Firefox. It doesn't work in Safari.
2. Choose the areas you want to remove and the areas you want to keep.
With your photo uploaded you'll be in the editing view. Mark the areas of your photo you want to keep with the "green" marker and mark the areas you want to remove with the "red" marker. You'll see a preview of what your final image will look like. Keep tweaking your image until you have it just right.
3. Download your finished product.
Once you have your background image removed and you're happy with the look of your finished product click the "download" button. With the image downloaded to your computer you'll be able to upload it to your website.
