A stunning video surfaced on Youtube last night showing a kid getting snatched up by a golden eagle. The video starts with the cameraman shooting video of the eagle flying through the sky from what I can assume is a mobile phone. A few moments later the eagle snatches the kid. The cameraman immediately starts yelling and runs toward the child which is promptly dropped by the eagle.

Watching the video is slow motion it appears the eagle was able to lift the child a few feet off the ground before dropping him. The video has become an overnight viral sensation receiving over 1.2 million views in less than 12 hours.

A search on Google reveals a number of people considering the video with a skeptical eye. One person who zoomed in on the video is calling it a fake. Many articles posted about the incident appear to be written in a skeptical nature saying things like "What appears to be an eagle snatching a child".

The video appears to be authentic. The camera man's reaction, description, of the youtube, and the poor way he chose to display the video on Youtube all lend credibility. Of course even if the video was fake there is no reason to believe an eagle of large size couldn't carry away a small child.
