WebStarts is proud to announce our latest app, Google Maps. Google Maps for WebStarts let's you create custom maps with Google Maps and put them directly onto your website. There are three different ways you can create a custom map with the Google Maps app.

The first one is by simply entering the address of a location. So if you're a small business and you want people to be able to locate you on a map this is a perfect option. Or let's say you're having a garage sale and you want people to know where it is - you too would use this option. Once you've entered your address into the map you can choose whether you want to display map or satellite view, and choose to zoom in or out on the map. Click the insert map button and the map will be added to your WebStarts website where you can drag and drop it where you'd like it to appear.

The second type of map you can create with the Google Maps app is one that provides directions between two locations. Enter the name or address of your starting location and ending location and then click the button labeled route. This is perfect if you want to put directions from the airport to that big conference on your website. After you've created the route you can then choose to display map or satellite view and your zoom options.

The third and final way you can create a map with the Google Maps app is by searching for a places. This is a great option if you want to do something like display all the sushi restaurants in your city or something similar. Just enter the name of the thing you want to search on Google Maps, choose whether to display map or satellite view, and once again your zoom options.
