WebStarts offers so many features. In fact, so many it's easy to miss some. That's why today I'm writing about 3 WebStarts features you didn't know about. It's all part of the WebStarts hacks series. Without further a due here's 3 WebStarts features you didn't know about.
1. Pixel by pixel control with the arrow keys.
For whatever reasons this feature is often overlooked though it's extremely valuable. WebStarts is a drag and drop website builder. That means you can drag and drop any object where you'd like it to appear on your webpage without knowing any code. But sometimes you want to nudge an object over a tiny bit. This can be a tricky when using a mouse or touchpad. That's why we created a feature that let's you use the arrow keys to move object one pixel at a time. And what's more you can hold the shift key and use those same arrow keys to move objects ten pixels at a time. The feature is perfect for assuring your objects are placed perfectly on your page.
2. Access Facebook photos from the file manager.
Facebook is the largest photo sharing website in the world. That's why we built access to your Facebook photos directly into WebStarts. Unfortunately not many people have noticed this feature. Perhaps because it's not in the most obvious location. To easily put your Facebook photos on your website click on the insert image icon to launch the file manger. Next, click on the Facebook tab. You'll need to authorize the connection between WebStarts and Facebook to see all the great photos you've uploaded to Facebook. Lastly click on the photo you want to add to your website and drag it where you'd like it to appear.
3. Set default font and link styles.
At WebStarts we're always looking for ways to help you build your webpages more efficiently. That's why we created the ability for you to create default font and link styles directly in the editor. With your default font and link styles setup you can add a text box to your page and make links without having to set the styles each time. To access this feature all you have to do is click on format> default font or default link. From there you'll be able to apply colors, fonts, rollovers, and more.
