Getting to the top of Google is the best way to get traffic to your website. However getting there is difficult and requires domain authority. So how do you get domain authority? The best way is to get links to your website. A link from another website to yours is kind of like a vote for your website. Some votes are worth more than other but when you're starting out any link you can get to your site will begin to build a footprint in Google's index.
Getting links to your website is often difficult. Essentially you have to convince someone the content of your website is so valuable or unique they'll want to link to it. When you're just starting out that means sending out a lot of emails to bloggers in your category as well as creating great content and sharing it on social media. The process is time consuming and sometimes discouraging. That's why I made this list of 25 places to get links to your website.
These websites will let you create an account and provide a link back to your site. So you're 100% in control of the process. It's a great place to start building a link profile.
