Are you on Snapchat yet? If not, you may be missing out. If you are, then you probably know it can be a little difficult connecting with people you know. Unlike other social media networks Snapchat doesn't go above and beyond to try and connect you with everyone in your contact book. Instead they rely more heavily on connecting with people through their usernames and what are called Snapcodes.

A Snapcode is similar to a QR code. You open up Snapchat on your phone, point your camera at it, the camera scans the code, connecting you with the user. This provides a fun way people can find you or your business on Snapchat. You can place these Snapcodes anywhere including your website.

To place a Snapcode on your website with WebStarts you must follow these steps. Keep in mind I'm assuming you already having a Snapchat account. So if you haven't already created one, download the app to your mobile device and sign up before following this process.

Step 1. Go to Snapchat.com and click on Download Snapcodes at the bottom of the page.

Step 2. Login to your Snapchat account.

Step 3. Right click on your Snapcode or click the button labeled Download Snapcodes.

Step 4. Login to your WebStarts account and choose to the option to Edit Site. if you don't already have a WebStarts account you can sign up and create one for free at WebStarts.com

Step 5. In the page editor view click on the Insert Image icon on the toolbar.

Step 6. Click and insert your Snapcode image onto your webpage.

Step 7. Drag and drop as well as resize your Snapcode and save your changes.

You're now ready to promote your Snapcode on the web. Use your Snapcode to connect with new lead and customers. Snapchat is cool because the content you share disappears after 24 hours. This creates an environment where you can share things you normally wouldn't.
