Today I'll tell you how to make a really cool slideshow with music and add it to your website using WebStarts and a slideshow builder called Animoto. Animoto takes your photos and your music and blends them together automatically to create a music video slideshow complete with transitions and special effects. This let's you create a dazzling presentation without spending hours editing your slideshow in a traditional video editing program. 

Here's how to create your slideshow...

Step 1:

Go to Animoto.com and sign up for an account then login to your account. 

Step 2:

Click on the link labeled "Create Video" then choose whether you'd like to create an Animoto short or full length video. Short videos are 30 seconds long. To create a full length Animoto you'll need to upgrade to a paid account. 

Step 3:

Click on the button labeled "upload" to add photos from your local computer or choose photos from the Animoto collection or another website. Note: If you're uploading photos from your computer you can select multiple photos at the same time by holding the control button on your keyboard and clicking on the photos you want to upload. When your photos have completely uploaded click on the button labeled "done". 


Step 4:

Now that your photos have been uploaded it's time to add some music. You can either upload music from your own computer or you can choose music from Animoto's selection. Choose the button labeled "select" to use a music clip from Animoto. Click the button labeled "upload" to use music from your local computer then choose the music file.

Step 5: 

With your music uploaded you can enter a song title and artist name for your music and click save. The next step will let you provide a title and description for your slideshow. When you're ready to proceed click "create video". 

Step 6: 

Verify your video length, image pacing, and video cover screen then click the button labeled "continue". 

Step 7:

Your video will begin to process. It will take several minutes for Animoto to cut your video. You don't have to wait on the page for the video to be processed. Animoto will send you an email when this process is complete. 

Step 8:

Once your video has completely processed you'll be able to put it on your website by on the share button and choosing the embed option. 

Step 9: 

Choose the size you would like your video to be displayed on your website then copy the embed code to your clipboard by selecting all of the code, right clicking on your mouse, and choosing copy from the drop down menu.

Step 10:

Navigate your way back to your WebStarts account. Login and choose the page you want to add the video to by clicking on the pencil icon next to the page name. Click on the insert HTML code icon on the toolbar, paste the code into the provided space, and click Ok. Your video placeholder will appear. You're now able to drag and drop the placeholder where you would like the video slideshow to appear on your published page. Click save and your slideshow video will be published to the web.
