How To Add A Twitter Feed To Your Website

Adding a Twitter feed to your website is a great way to let site visitors know there are real people behind the scenes. A Twitter feed displays the most recent tweets you've made on the social network. Here are step by step instructions on how to add a twitter feed to your website using WebStarts.

Step 1. Go to Twitter.com and login to your Twitter account. Of course if you haven't already created a Twitter account you'll need to do that first.

Step 2. Once you're logged into your Twitter account click on the cog icon in the upper righthand corner of the Twitter dashboard and choose the settings option from the drop down menu.

Step 3. On the left side of the page they'll be several options listed. Click on the item at the bottom of that list called Widgets.

Step 4. Customize your Twitter feed. You can change the type of feed, the color, the link color, and size. Once you're done customizing go ahead and click Create Widget and your Twitter feed code will be generated.

Step 5. Copy the Twitter feed code to your clipboard by selecting it, right clicking, and choosing to copy.

Step 6. Login to your WebStarts account and choose the option to Edit Site. If you don't already have a WebStarts account sign up for one by clicking here.

Step 7. Choose the page you'd like to add the Twitter widget to while logged into the WebStarts editor and click Insert > HTML and then paste the code in the area provided. Click Ok and your widget will be added to your page.  You can then drag and drop your Twitter feed wherever you'd like it to appear.
